Always fun challenges #3

For this weeks card (theme CAS) I stamped the butterfly/moth with sepia ink on an ivory colored card. Stamped it again on a piece of paper and cut it out…Glued it on the card but only the body part which makes a nice 3D effect because the wings can be ‘opened’ up a bit. The sentiment was stamped in the same color. Clean and simple I think… I made it to the top 3 last week…but there’s way more entries this time. Come and see all of them at http://www.alwaysfunchallenges.blogspot.com!

Swap: May 2017 themed ATC

Challenge for this month was to combine Lily of the Valley and emerald. For some reason I find these hard to do…  I drew the little flowers and added a bit of color with colored pencil… made a background with a printed paper and added the quote with a micron pen.

Always fun challenges #2

This weeks theme is Easter. I have many stamp sets but none for Easter! But I knew the Lawn Fawn ‘Yay, kites!’  has cute animals… and one of them a bunny! So I decided to use this set and see where it would go… Did de background with Distress inks, stamped the bunnies (I used a bigger stamp to be able to flip one of them). Stamped the kites on another piece of cardstock, cut them out and colores with Tombow markers and glued them on the background. Colored the bunnies with acrylic paint and wrote happy easter. Finally added the thread and glued it all to a kraft card. Didn’t think I was able to male a nice card for this challenge but it turned out cute…

See what the DT and other participants did for this challenge at: http://www.alwaysfunchallenges.blogspot.nl

Handmade card: Orange

For a handmade card swap on Facebook I had to make an orange card…  Though I love the color orange, it’s not a color I create with often… I deciced to make a background with Dylusions ink sprays… by stamping in white, the orange shines through a bit still… Hopefully my partner likes it too.

Swap ‘Add a bird’

A handmade card with a background made of left over pieces from my affirmation cards I made for Lifebook. Added the birds with stitching. Took a long time but the result is cool!
